Yr 6 – East Grinstead High 5 Tournament, Sunday 1st May 2011

We set off to East Grinstead, the squad were excited to be going to a different location, and were really looking forward to it. The weather was reasonable and, apart from getting lost on the way, the day was a huge success. Thank you to Beryl for coming along and being our umpire.
We would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents that came and supported us.
We played 9 games some against new teams; – RBWM Reds & Blues, Rudgerwick 1 & 2, CDP Amber and Southdown, and some against teams we meet regularly in tournaments; – ASCO, Finch and Hillcrest.
Everyone played well with both good defending and shooting. The overall results were 5 WINS, 1 DRAW and 3 LOSSES. Although the team had played their socks off we just didn’t make it into the top 3 so as to receive medals. However coming 4thout of 10 is a massive achievement and we were chuffed to bits. This is the squad’s best result so far this season – well done to you all. As coaches we were very pleased with the efforts by each team member and felt that the day was very successful.
At the end of the event we felt that the player of the tournament was Kate Peacock so congratulations to her.
The squad was as follows:-
Madison Coare, Fiona Fulle, Elizabeth Ward-Booth, Amber Moore, Macy Jacob, Laura Tinney
and Kate Peacock.
Anita & Julie (Coaches)
