From our Chairperson

Seniors and Youth

First of all I would like to comment on a brilliant night at Halow last night! THREE matches and THREE fantastic wins – WELL DONE Teams 4,5 & 6 - Joyce Barton,Molly Fozzard,Hannah Hogan, Emma-Louise Wacey, Nichola Brichieri-Colombi, Wendy Chambers, Kate Pink (Team 4), Nada Tadros, Lily Fakile, Anita Griffiths, Megan Williams, Tegan Lintonbon-baker, Kate Henshall, Hannah Bishop (Team5), Reah Leanne Norris, Alice Miles, Katie Miles, Lizzie Francis, Emma Kennett, Estelle Williams, Jess Barclay (Team 6). An excellent conclusion to the first half of the winter season.
Our teams are doing well at Harlow. Team 1 = 2nd, Team 2 = 5th, Team 3 = 3rd, Team 4 = 3rd, Team 5 = 5th, Team 6 = 5th.
At Stortford Team 1 were celebrating their first WIN on Sunday (they have picked up points in most games but just been “pipped” at the post when it has come to winning). Team 2 = 3rd, Team 3 = 1st, Team 4 = 2nd, Team 5 = 4th, Team 6 = 7th. So, again most teams doing a great job and getting better/stronger.
Herts League Team 1 = 1st (I believe), Team 2 = 3rd but still in with a shout of promotion – Keep going girls!
ER = TOP of the table. Playing so well and with the inclusion of several of our talented youngsters i.e. Amber Moore, Becky Allen, Megan Pointer, Cam Brown and hopefully Hanae Sbai once she is fit again, the future of the club is looking GREAT. Congratulations ER squad.
Not sure how well or otherwise Turnford teams are doing as we don’t seem to get the reports so if anyone can help here it would be lovely!!
Attendance at senior training has improved but could still be better some weeks! Come on girls, New Year Resolution = I will attend training whenever I can.
Big CONGRATULATIONS again to Lauren Ayers & Hanae Sbai on their inclusion in Mavericks and Pulse Youth squads. To Cam Brown on her invitation to attend Regional days. To Kate Henshall, Freya Henshall, Olivia Burn and Tegan Lintonbon-baker on achieving places in Mavericks Development squads and to all the girls involved in Satellite and County squads. Your hard work and that of your coaches has paid off with dividends!
I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to ALL club coaches, managers, assistance and volunteers :- Louise Ayliffe, Joan Finch, Anita Griffiths, Lisa Best, Joanne Wacey, Sarah Parker, Wendy Chambers, Julie Moore, Melanie Boulton , Karen Elizabeth Heskett and Fiona Stretton-Emerson for all the time you put into training, coaching and umpiring. We couldn’t do it without you.
Pat Pete Longville must get a special mention as they both work tirelessly for our club and this season (amid raised stress levels) were successful in making sure our club regained it’s GOLD CAPS – thank you both.
Looking forward, 2017 is filled with huge HOPES and DESIRES. Let’s all do our best to help Crosskeys succeed in all it does. Keep up the commitment, the hard work and the passion. Together we can do it.
Special “Thanks” to all the parents who support their daughters through rain and shine – They/We couldn’t achieve without you.
All that is really left is to say we are looking forward to seeing Robyn Amber Fitzpatrick-Graham, Freya Rowson, Georgia Das, Ellie Davies, Megan Pointer and Shelley Jackson back on the netball courts fitter, faster and more dynamic than ever.
