Kezia Beeton: Jack Petchey Award Winner, March 2019

Kezia is a very versatile, dedicated player and is very encouraging to her peer players during matches. She also helps with her school teams. She has taken part in a “Race for Life” to raise money for cancer research. She volunteers at the Local Park Runs, doing barcode scanning before taking part in the run. She is a member of Essex County Athletics training three times per week and represents the county in both Cross Country and Relay Teams.

Sofia Read: Jack Petchey Award Winner, February 2019

Sofia is a very committed member of Crosskeys with a very positive attitude when at training and in matches.  At school, she was captain of her year team, which won all their games.  She was selected to go into Primary Schools to help set up sporting activities for the younger children.  She has raised money in a Bake Sale for “Stand up to Cancer”. She also belongs to a Swimming Club and did a 50 lengths swim to raise money for “Children in Need”

Leila Mebrate: Jack Petchey Award Winner, January 2019

Leila has only been with Crosskeys for a short time, but has already shown determination to improve both her fitness and netball skills.  She is also a member of Epping Forest and District Swimming Club, training 4 times  week. She plays the cornet, has singing lessons and is working towards the Duke of Edinburgh, Bronze Award

Meisha Trend Evans: Jack Petchey Award Winner: November 2018

Meisha is a dedicated club member.  She is a very focused and determined player, always striving to improve her game.  Outside of the Netball Club, she takes part in Triathlons, Aquathlons and Duathlons, when through sponsorship, she has raised over £1000 for the Rachel Macmillan Cancer Charity.  She also reached County times for swimming at 9 years of age.

Daisy McAuliffe: Jack Petchey Award Winner, October 2018

Daisy attends training and matches regularly, always with a smile, although life at home has been very difficult for the family.

Her Mum has recently finished treatment for brain cancer and Daisy has spent a lot of time looking after her young sister.

She went to Disneyland earlier this year to represent her school in a Netball Tournament. She played in the Year 11 team, although she herself is only in year 8.

Recently, she trialed for Mini Mavericks and was successful  in getting a place in their squad.

She also volunteers to help train the younger players at her school.

Millie Maskell: Jack Petchey Award Winner, April 2018

Millie is a hard working and determined member of her squad.  She also brings a lot of laughter to the training sessions and welcomes new members.  She has donated her hair on two occasions to the Little Princess Charity for it to be made into wigs for very sick children.  She also entertains the residents of Grove Cottage with carol singing at Xmas.

Heidi Crouchman: Jack Petchey Award Winner, March 2018

Heidi has been with Crosskeys for several years. She has become a talented player and gives a lot of commitment to the club. She takes part in dance performances for local events such as “Remembrance Day”. She is filming with an Agency and also taking singing and acting exams. She is also taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme.

Tegan Lintonbon – Baker: Jack Petchey Award Winner, January 2018

Tegan has been with Crosskeys for 7 years. She is a very committed member, even returning for the day from holidaying in Norfolk to captain her team in an important match.  She has also successfully trialled for the County Squad.  She helps to coach years 1 to 3 in the Club as well as years 7 and 8 at her School, and also attended a weekend tournament in Nottingham as an Assistant Coach.  This season she has qualified as a Level 1 Coach.  Tegan is a great role model for the younger members of the Club.

Sian Kearney: Jack Petchey Award Winner, February 2018

Sian has been with Crosskeys for 5 years.  She is a regular member of her Team and brings a lot of determination and encouragement to the game.  At school she is a volunteer for the “School Readiness Programme” and is a member of a Peer Mentor’s group, which supports students who are struggling with their studies or have other problems.  She also fund raises for “No Child Without” and St Clare’s Hospice charities.

Olivia Curaba: Jack Petchey Award Winner, November 2017

This young player has seen her Mum battle against illness not once , but twice recently.  Olivia has show real character in not allowing this to overshadow her life and to carry on as normal.  This entails attending training every week and being available for matches.  She helped to organise a Shooting Competition, to raise money for a young girl with brain cancer.  Olivia looked after her when she came to join in the netball evening.  She has also taken part in Breast Cancer Charity walks and comes into club an hour early to help with coaching our younger players.
