This Season
High 5's Tournament - Bishop Stortford Saturday 22nd May
The U11's entered a team in the yearly High 5's Tournament that the Bishops Stortford League holds.
We took 6 players, Amber Moore, Darcey Fussell, Charlotte Richardson,
Lauren Spencer, Megan Walker and Megan Jarvis.
The weather was great and the girls played really well. We managed to come 3 out of 6 in this tournament,
being pipped at the last minute by Richard Whittington who took second. Hale Green won overall. Fun was had
by all and the play that the girls produced showed how they are all coming along with their skills.
Well done to all and a big thank you for the parents who supported.

Tegate Tournament - Sunday 23rd May
Crosskeys U11's entered a 7-aside team into the annual Tegate Tournament.
The day was extremely hot and there were plenty of games to play.
Overall the team played well, however we did not manage to get into the top 3 places.
The team consisted of Zoe Wardrop, Amber Moore, Charlotte Richards, Megan Jarvis,
Megan Walker, Rosie Austen, Lauren Spencer and Danni Flannery.
Well done girls and better luck next year. Thanks again to parents who supported on this hideously sweltering day.

Turnford Junior Winter League
The U11's competed in the winter season programme over at Wormley Playing Fields. All games were at 9am on Saturday mornings,
so I would like to say a huge thank you to players who competed and their parents who regularly got up at the crack of dawn
to get their daughters over to matches. THANK YOU.
Collectively we did not do great within the league; however I can not fault the commitment the players gave to each other and
to the club during this league. As I have explained to the girls it is not always about WINNING but the TAKING PART that matters.
The WINNING will come once the squad develops and gains more experience. Each player will develop as their move through the ages
within CROSSKEYS. So hang in there girls, I totally believe in your individual abilities and this will all come together in time.

U 11's Hertford Hornets Tournament - 25th April 2010
A squad of 8 was entered into this tournament and we headed off to Welwyn Garden City for the day.
The squad included: Rosie Austen, Maddie Bonser, Darcy Fussel, Amber Moore, Charlotte Richards, Laura Tinney,
Megan Walker, Zoe Wardrop
The first obstacle to deal with was the weather. The morning was heavy rain and they were awful conditions to play in.
This was the first time that the squad had experienced playing in the traditional British Weather that Netballers have to contend with
as a winter sport, so well done.
The team had 5 games to play within their division.
They were drawn to play, Stevenage Storm, Turnford B, Redbridge A, Hertford Hornets B and Hert Heath Rangers.
We Won 2 of the 5 games and then played in the play offs. Our final positioning of the tournament was 8th out of 12 which
is our best result this season. So well done girls.
Thank you for the parent support on this day I hope everyone enjoyed the event

Crosskeys Tournament, U 11's,- 28th March 2010
Our Home tournament, what an exciting event.
It is always great to play at your home venue with lots of spectators.
It's good to have involvement in the extra activities like the raffle, barbeque and cake selling.
As it was our home tournament the U11 coaches decided to take a large squad so we all could represent the club.
The squad included: Rosie Austen, Yasmin Defriend, Darcy Fussell, Katie Miles, Ellie Hitch, Amber Moore, Charlotte Richards,
Laura Tinney, Megan Walker, Zoe Wardrop.
We played in several games and we won 1, drew 1 and lost the rest.
The teams played well and each girl gave 100% to the varying positions they played.
We hope as coaches that all players, parents, siblings enjoyed the day and we would like to say a big thank
you to all for supporting Crosskeys Netball Club.

CROSSKEYS HIGH FIVE's LEAGUE, Sept/Oct 2009
Eight schools were contacted and, although a lot of interest was expressed, only Roydon School actually took part.
Tegate entered two teams, Roydon School one and Crosskeys one.
The children thoroughly enjoyed playing matches against different people.
Roydon v Crosskeys ( 5 matches were played ). Roydon won 3 and Crosskeys 2.
Tegate A v Roydon, Tegate won. Tegate A v Crosskeys, Tegate won.
Tegate B v Crosskeys, Tegate won one, Crosskeys won one.
We are hoping to restart this league in the Spring, hopefully with a lot more support.

Crosskeys High Five Tournament 3rd October 2009, U-10's
There were 7 Teams in the U10 Section. Our Team was umpired by Beryl and coached by Jo.
The Squad consisted of 9 players: Gregory, Briony, Amy, Emma, Jordan, Evie, Macy, Amber and Little Lily.
They had six games to play. The first 3 games were played by the Year 3 & 4 girls and for some
of the girls this was their first tournament. Although they didn't win a match they all tried
hard and gained valuable experience from it and much excitement was had.
In the following three matches the Team consisted of 3 more experienced Year 5 players, Gregory, Amber
and Macy, helped by Evie and Emma (year 4). They did extremely well and won all three of their matches
with impressive play and two of the games were high scoring with 7+ goals for some convincing wins.
WELL DONE TO YOU ALL.
Thanks to all the Parents, and Senior Club members, for their help on the day.

Crosskeys High Five Tournament 3rd October 2009, U-11's
The girls started the day excited and ready to play, they tried hard in every game and showed
they have a strong team spirit. One game in particular showed their strength and team unity.
It was the 3rd game of the day and Rosie hurt her ankle, and, sadly, this meant she could not
play for the rest of the tournament.
The girls where 5-0 down at this stage and had a mountain to climb, but they showed great
determination, and came back to draw the game 6-6. It was a great performance, with brilliant
shooting helping them to fight back so well, and they impressed spectators with their skill and
game play.
I really enjoyed coaching the girls, watching them work hard and showing how much potential they
have for the future. Overall they finished 3rd and should be very proud of themselves.
