Years 3 & 4

Tegan L B - Coach

Year 3 - February 2020

Year 4 - February 2020

As we were playing Turnford, I thought we were in for another tough game. I was totally wrong and the team outplayed them from the start. Unfortunately the score line did not reflect the game as we lost 2-0 but everyone played so well and should be proud of themselves. Hopefully we can work on shooting at training.

Well done girls.

Team: Holly, Clemmie, Lois, Amelie K, Amelie A, Freya (hope you are ok after your fall)

Thank you for all the parents for your support and Marion for umpiring.

U10′s CROSSKEYS TOURNAMENT – 27th January 2019

A good day for this group of girls who finished joint 4th in their pool.

They all worked incredibly hard in all 7 matches. They won 4 of their 7 games and the 3 games they lost were only by 1 goal.
For some of the team this was their first taste of competitive match play and despite being nervous they all performed very well.

Results :-
Crosskeys v Tegate – 0-1
Crosskeys v Turnford 3-1
Crosskeys v Braintree 2-3
Crosskeys v AP Saints 3-1
Crosskeys v Hornets 3-0
Crosskeys v Wodson 5-0
Crosskeys v CD Phoenix 1-2

Team :- Gracie Smith, Keira Best, Lois Herbst, Emilia Allen, Connie Kearn and Darcie Wilkinson

Thank you to Vanessa McMahon for assisting me today, much appreciated and to all our loyal supporters for braving the cold and encouraging the girls.
Apologies forgot to take a photo of this lovely squad.

A fabulous result and fantastic play by this new Crosskeys team.

Once they got settled into the game they went from strength to strength. The defence worked tirelessly and intercepted lots of the Tegate play. The centre court made some excellent drives to feed our shooters who rarely missed tonight and if they did quite often got the rebounds by following their shoots.

Quarter 1 – 4-1 Tegate
Quarter 2 – 4-4
Quarter 3 – 5-4 Tegate
Quarter 4 – 9-8 Crosskeys

As you can see the girls remained focused and their sheer determination and never give up attitude secured a fantastic win. They all showed great maturity and composure throughout the match, a lovely squad in the making. Super proud of you girls.
POM chosen by the opposition went to Keira Best. Well done Keira, fabulous play.

Coaches POM went to Gracie Smith, great game Gracie.

Team :- Lexi Norman, Gracie Smith, Chloe Allen, Olivia Southward, Katie Dibbs, Daisy Wickstead, keira Best and Libby Bradwick.

Thank you to Marion Hooke for supporting me in coaching this team tonight and your valuable words of wisdom, to Justine Poulter for working with these girls every week and improving their play, to Lilly Southward for scoring and to all the parents for your commitment and encouragement.

Areas of focus :- zoning, making the correct pass and learning role of each position on the court.

Go Crosskeys. The futures bright the futures purple!!!

High Fives Tournament January 2018

For some of the U9 squad this was their first tournament experience. They all started out a little nervous but as the day progressed they all grew in confidence and became stronger individually and with each match they started playing better together as a team.

They are a lovely group of girls that listened well on how to improve, trained hard in between games and gave me 100% throughout the day.

Well done U9’s a great effort.

Squad:- Lauren, Gracie, Elin, Tia, Tilly, Evie and Lois

Going forward the girls need to work on their spacial awareness, driving forward and getting as much match practise over the summer months as possible.

Thank you to all the parents for your continual commitment.

Thank you for all your effort and parents for giving up your Sunday.

Well done Brooke, Lexi, Felicity, Katie, Lily, Abbie and Chloe.

Colchester Tournament July 2017

This was the first Tournament for some of U9′s squad, which was made up of U9′s and U’8s players.

They grew in confidence during the day and their play throughout the court improved with every game.

They won 3 out of 6 games and 2 of the games they lost, they were only defeated by 1 goal.

Immensely proud of these girls for not only playing with great determination but for listening with such maturity on how to improve their individual game and team play.

Well done U’9s.

Squad :- Lois Herbst, Keira Best, Gracie Smith, Olivia Southward, Felicity Rudland and Libby.

Thank you to all of the parents for your support and encouragement.

The future’s bright the future’s Purple.

What can I say? I am so, so proud of this little group of beauties. I have predicted great things for this group of girls (including those not playing tonight) so I hope I am right. Time will tell. They have a great team spirit, determination to do well and fantastic skills. Tonight they played their little socks off and achieved a wonderful win.
Crosskeys 22 HHR 2
POM Gracie Claire Goodall – well done Gracie.
SQUAD:- Rihanna Drew, Gracie Goodall, Darcey Louise Ayliffe, Lily  Emma Hayzelden, Ruby  Danny Paul Mapp, Rebecca  Natalie Trapmore, Hannah Castley, Juliette Locke, Kasey Barnet.

What can I say about this wonderful squad? They finished 3rd in their group today , so missing out on a semi final place but playing some fantastic netball on the way!
The girls all played with skill, grit and determination throughout. I predict a bright netball future for these girls. Today we won 2 ( Asco and Poole), lost 2 (Tegate and Turnford) and drew 1 (HHRangers).
Squad:- Darcey Ayliffe, Gracie Goodall, Lily Hayzeldene, Ruby Mapp, Rihanna Drew, Rebecca Trapmore and Juliette Locke.
This was a High 5 Tournament which requires a rotation of players to play every position. Had we been playing 7 – a – side and positions we are best at I feel confident we would have done even better.
Many thanks to Louise Ayliffe and Claire Goodall for all your help today and as always big THANK YOU to all the parents and supporters.

CROSSKEYS HIGH 5′s TOURNAMENT- 29th January 2017

Today I had the lovely time coaching the u9′s in the Crosskeys High 5 tournament.  The girls all played so well and made me very proud of all of them. For some of the girls it was their first tournament.  As the games went on they got better and better. They were looking for each other, getting into spaces and marking their players towards the end. We won 2 drew 1 and lost 5. Well done Libby, chloe A, Felicity, Ruby, Olivia and Keira Best. Very proud of all of you today, you all worked very hard.

Yr 5 – Colcchester Tornament June 2016

Year 5′s Colchester tournament 11th June 2016.
What a great day for the year 5′s we had 6 games to play with some great results four wins and losing two.
First game out beating stars and losing our second to Flames which was down to some silly errors.
Onto our next match beating Brentwood (despite there very loud coach trying to distract us we played on),then meeting local rivals Tegate and another win! Our next game against Kats and this was our second game we lost we just couldn’t score the goals.
Our final match was against Turnford they took the lead in the first half but this squad were fighting for every ball we pulled it back to take the lead and win.
Great day in lots of ways for this team, wins,no foul throws and coming forward for balls and looking for that next pass.
We ended up 4th today so a great result for us well done girls!
Player of the tournament was given to Madeline Bailey who had a great day on court, great passes up the court, some great interceptions and lovely feeds into the circle, very solid up and coming reliable player.

Thank you to our parents for there support and to Wendy for collecting all the money in (this seems to be your job now)
