Well done to the U15 Youth team for claiming Runners Up medals in the ASCO tournament.
Although only playing four games, as this section was very small, the team only lost one game.
The scores were: Crosskeys 9–7 Poole, Crosskeys 6–12 Turnford, Crosskeys 6–4 Essex Open and
Crosskeys 5–3 ASCO

Nottingham Tournament
6th/7th September 2008
Crosskeys Youth’s first tournament took them to Nottingham. A different set up to previous years
made the tournament a rather long and tiring two days with over an hour between games, and those
games lasting only 5 minutes each way.
The Youth team dodged the down pours beating their first opposition, Hartlepool 11–4. However;
we lost against Yendys 4-6 and Oldham 3–8. Happily, their next game was a win against Blackpool 7–2
but sadly lost against local rivals Turnford 6–8. These results put us into the ‘Plate’ section and
although we lost against Yendys 2-5 we ended the day by winning against Deacon 4–3.
Sunday, brought us better luck and the girls played a much better game. Spirits lifted at the end of our
first game, beating local team Cliftonettes 11-0 , Hartlepool 10–4 , Birmingham 7–1 and
Blackpool 5-2.
Due to a discrepancy in the totalling of scores Nottingham awarded us runners up, whereas in reality we
actually won the "Plate".
May I take this opportunity to thank all the mums and dads for their fantastic support.
The girls did the club proud. Well done.
Squad: Bex (capt) Astrid, Anna, Hannah, Alice, Emma, Bianca, Caitlin, Georgia L and Georgia D.
